How to Set Up Call Forwarding

To reveal No Caller ID calls on Android, Traceback needs your calls forwarded to us. Android lets you set this in your phone's call forwarding settings. Here's both the Traceback setup and the manual way.

Option 1: Set Up Through Traceback (Recommended)

1. Open the Traceback app and go to Settings.
2. Tap Restart Service.
3. Follow the prompt to complete the call forwarding setup.
4. Run a test call: ask a friend to call from No Caller ID, then decline it.

Option 2: Set Up Manually

You can set forwarding directly in your Android settings. Important: enter the number under the “forward when busy” option only — not the other forwarding options.

1. Open your phone's Settings.
2. Use the search bar to search for Call forwarding.
3. Open Call forwarding.
4. Under the “Forward when busy” section only, enter this number: 0799593486.
5. Save it. Then decline incoming No Caller ID calls so they forward to us.

How the Reveal Works

With forwarding set, just decline a No Caller ID call when it arrives. It forwards to Traceback, our system reveals the real number, and you'll see it plus a name if it's in our database.

Privacy Note

Call forwarding sends only the No Caller ID and Unknown calls you decline to Traceback for revealing. We don't listen to or record your conversations.

Troubleshooting

I put the number in the wrong section. It must go under “Forward when busy” only. Remove it from any other forwarding option, then re-enter it there.

I declined a call but got no reveal. Confirm forwarding is set under “Forward when busy” and that voicemail didn't pick up first.

Setup won't stick. Re-run Settings → Restart Service in the app, or re-enter 0799593486 in your call forwarding settings.
